Can my children renounce the inheritance in advance?

There is a general principle in Bulgarian law that a preliminary waiver of rights is not valid. To renounce a right, the right has to first exist. For example, there is no preliminary waiver of the right to appeal against a  decision of a court or an administrative tribunal. The same rule applies to successions. To renounce a succession, the person must first be an heir or prove the existence of an inheritance. Disposing of a succession that hasn't been opened yet is considered invalid and contrary to public morals. It is contrary to public morals to dispose of the succession of a parent who hasn't died yet.
